The California Wellness Foundation Awards Nearly $8.3 Million During Second Quarter

Woodland Hills (CA) –The California Wellness Foundation (Cal Wellness) announced its awards of nearly $8.3 million in grants made during the second quarter of the year. The grants approved went to 39 organizations focused on advancing wellness in California. The complete list can be found here.

The California Wellness Foundation is a private independent foundation created in 1992. Since its founding, Cal Wellness has awarded 8,265 grants totaling more than $950 million.

The Foundation’s Advancing Wellness grants program is designed to promote equity through advocacy and access. The grantmaking focuses on three interconnected portfolios: Bridging the Gaps in Access and Quality Care; Promoting Healthy and Safe Neighborhoods; and Expanding Education and Employment Pathways. The program also includes the Opportunity Fund to support innovation in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors.

  2. Review the instructions for completing the online letter of interest.
  3. Click “Start a New LOI” to create an account and complete the LOI. All applicants new to the Cal Wellness Grants Portal must create a password-protected account before completing the LOI.
