Anabel Giron is the director of investments at Cal Wellness, responsible for overseeing the foundation’s endowment with a focus on aligning the investment strategy with the foundation’s mission. Before joining Cal Wellness, she spent seven years as director of investments for the California Community Foundation. Earlier in her career, Giron spent 10 years in financial advisory services specializing in valuations.
Currently, Giron is the board chair elect of DIY Girls and a board member of Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE). She is also an advisory member of the Hispanics in Philanthropy investment committee. She is a past board member of the Thelma Pearl Howard Foundation.
Giron earned a master’s degree in industrial engineering and operations research from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from California State University, Northridge.
