Karen Wloch is the grants administrator at The California Wellness Foundation where she oversees the processing of all grant requests, from initial letter of interest through processing and approval, with a special focus on internal and external policy compliance.
Wloch has more than fifteen years of experience in public health with a focus on grantwriting, evaluation and research. Before joining the Foundation in October 2015, she worked as a grantwriter and project evaluator at a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization. Other previous experience includes coordinating health education programs, working on health policy adoption and implementation, conducting needs assessments and focus groups, and engaging in community organizing at community-based organizations.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in general biology with a minor in health care and social issues from the University of California, San Diego, and earned a master’s of public health degree from California State University, Northridge.
