Padmini Parthasarathy is a program director at The California Wellness Foundation. She manages grantmaking related to advancing health care reform and the Affordable Care Act and promoting employment and asset-building opportunities.
Prior to joining Cal Wellness in January 2014, she was a program manager for Kaiser Permanente, where she managed its nationwide Community Health Needs Assessment. Before that, Parthasarathy worked for Contra Costa Health Services’ Family, Maternal and Child Health Programs, leading an initiative to incorporate asset building into MCH programs. She was an inaugural member of the Justice Funders’ Harmony Initiative. She also serves on the Asset Funders Network’s national board of directors and Bay Area chapter steering committee, and volunteers for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
She earned her master’s degree in public health from UC Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and social behavior, with a minor in sociology, from UC Irvine.
