Jennifer Wright is the director of strategy and planning. In this role, she leads efforts to translate strategy into execution, ensuring that mission-aligned efforts are designed and delivered with impact. With over 15 years of experience in strategic grantmaking, health care administration and nonprofit management, she is passionate about advancing racial justice and supporting nonprofit organizations to center marginalized people’s needs and community-defined solutions.
Prior to joining Cal Wellness in 2020, Wright led strategy and programming at Center for Care Innovations (CCI), supporting innovative models of bridging healthcare and community efforts. She also led grantmaking programs and projects in her past roles at The San Francisco Foundation and L.A. Care Health Plan.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in public health and a master’s degree in public health focused on health and social behavior and multicultural health from the University of California, Berkeley.
