Jessica Martinez Pulido

Program Officer

Jessica Martinez Pulido is a program officer at The California Wellness Foundation for the Equity in Access and Economic Security and Dignity portfolios. In her role, she reviews grant proposals, conducts site visits, and makes funding recommendations.

Martinez Pulido's commitment to advancing health equity is rooted in her early work on immigrant rights organizing and health advocacy. She brings over a decade of experience in collaborative partnerships, program development, and innovative grantmaking that center community knowledge and leadership. Prior to joining Cal Wellness, she served as strategist on community engagement at the Governor’s Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications, where she worked to strengthen relationships between community and state government. She also served as an assistant director of Civic Engagement and Strategic Partnerships in Governor Newsom’s Office, Program Associate at The California Endowment, Health Equity Fellow with the Greenlining Institute, and Community Relations Manager at Street Level Health Project.

Martinez Pulido is a proud product of public education and a first-generation Latina graduate. She earned a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco.
