Kay Mizushima serves as executive assistant to the chief financial and investment officer at the California Wellness Foundation, where she operates at the intersection of strategy, finance, investments, and grants management. In this role, she supports the execution of operational activities that advance the foundation’s mission.
Mizushima brings a broad, cross-functional perspective shaped by roles within Cal Wellness, including Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Public Affairs, Interim Program Associate, and Program Coordinator. This internal trajectory reflects both institutional knowledge and an ability to translate into effective operational support across teams.
Before joining Cal Wellness, she built experience across the technology, fashion, and skincare industries, serving in executive support, account management, and marketing roles. These experiences strengthened her adaptability, stakeholder management, and business operations skills.
She has also contributed to community-based efforts through volunteer work with her children’s school, New York Cares and The Salvation Army, supporting youth through after-school tutoring and service projects.
Mizushima earned her MBA from Western Governors University, a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from California State University, Fullerton, and an Associate of Arts in Marketing from Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.
