Laura Ascencio Real is grants administrator at The California Wellness Foundation where she administers the grantmaking process for all of Cal Wellness’ funding areas. Her responsibilities include coordinating and compiling materials for the quarterly Board books, as well as conducting quality control of reports generated by the grants management and grants program staff.
She joined Cal Wellness in September 2000 as grants management assistant. Prior to that, she was with Boys Scouts of America’s Western Los Angeles County Council where she oversaw and processed the donations made by individuals and companies.
Ascencio Real is a member of the Grants Managers Network. She earned her associate of arts degree from Los Angeles Mission College.
